How it works
Bench top = elbow height + task offset − workpiece/fixture height. CCOHS gives approximately +5 cm for supported precision work, −5 to −10 cm for light work, and −20 to −40 cm for heavy downward-force work.
- Measure elbow height while wearing work shoes, with shoulders relaxed. Build a temporary mock-up and adjust for comfort and tool control; these are starting ranges, not a universal ideal height.
