Privacy policy

Your workshop stays on your device. Here is what happens when you save a build, add a photo, share a backup or contact us.

About this policy

ScrapShuffle is a woodworking project-discovery app from WoodWorkCalc. This policy describes the current app and its local workshop features. It is separate from the WoodWorkCalc account and shop-management service. Contact us at metalmeritstore@gmail.com with privacy questions.

Workshop records stay on your device

The app stores your material selections, dimensions, quantities, tools, hardware, favorites, preferences, build progress and notebook notes locally. The current app does not require an account or automatically upload these workshop records to us. We cannot access or recover records that exist only on your device.

Photos and project previews

If you choose a photo for a notebook entry, the app reads the selected file, resizes it on your device and stores the resulting image with the entry. It does not automatically upload that photo. Project reference images and mock-ups are supplied with the app; your workshop records and photos are not sent to an AI image-generation service by the current app.

Backups and sharing

When you export a backup, it can include your workshop selections, notes and photos. You choose where to save or share it using your device. The receiving app, storage service or person can access the file you share. Those services have their own privacy practices. Imported backups are processed on your device. Device-level backups may also contain app data, depending on your Apple settings.

Analytics and external links

The current ScrapShuffle app does not include advertising or third-party usage analytics. Apple may process diagnostics and TestFlight feedback according to your settings and Apple's policies. Opening a source, support page or other external link connects to that website, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. WoodWorkCalc's website uses analytics and may load advertising scripts; its privacy policy applies to visits to these hosted pages.

When you contact support

If you email us or use the WoodWorkCalc contact form, we receive the contact details, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and handle your request. Our email and website service providers process that information to deliver the service. We do not sell your support messages or local workshop records. Information may be disclosed when legally required.

Retention and deletion

Local records remain until you remove them or remove the app's stored data. You can remove notebook entries and their photos inside the app. Deleting the iOS app removes its local app data; offloading it may retain data. For the browser version, clear the site's stored data to remove local records. Delete exported backups separately, including copies in cloud storage or device backups. Support correspondence is retained as needed to resolve requests and meet applicable obligations; contact us to request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us.

Your choices and security

You choose whether to add photos, export records or contact support. Protect your device and backup files, and avoid storing sensitive personal information in project notes. No device or online service can guarantee absolute security. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app; contact us if a child has sent personal information to support.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when ScrapShuffle's data practices change and revise the date below. Any future connected features will need to be reflected in this policy and the app's privacy disclosures before release.
