Method & assumptions
Usable board width = rough width − loss per edge × 2. Board count rounds up (finished panel width + total trim) ÷ usable width. Blank length = finished length + total end trim.
- Boards are identical width after jointing. Enter measured usable stock dimensions and verify defects and grain selection separately.
- This is a width takeoff, not a glue, clamp-pressure or structural recommendation. Final thickness, machining loss and wood movement are separate.
