Method & assumptions
Passes across width = 1 + ceiling(max(0, width − cutter diameter) ÷ stepover). Each pass travels the board length plus cutter diameter; this places the tool center half a diameter beyond each end.
- Assumes a serpentine raster, ideal full-width cutter and no extra margin. Crossovers and entry/exit moves are excluded from cutting-time estimate.
- Not a toolpath generator. The cutting envelope extends outside the rectangle; check axis travel, clamps, spoilboard fasteners, depth and cutter limits in CAM.
