Save and Reuse Machine & Bit Settings
Keep a repeatable setup with the details that make it useful: the machine, bit or laser, material, operation and the result you observed. Your settings library is saved to your account, so the same profiles are available on your phone and desktop.

Create a profile
Select New setting, choose the equipment type and name the setup. Add machine, tool, material and operation details so the profile is easy to recognize later.

Record the parameters
Select the length and speed units, then enter the values you want to keep. Add custom fields for settings such as air assist, stickout or controller mode. Unused parameters can stay blank.

Keep setup and test notes
Add a reference URL and notes about workholding, stock or the toolpath. After testing the exact setup, record the date and observed result. Saving alone does not mark a profile as tested.

Find and reuse a profile
Search by machine, bit, material or notes; filter by equipment, material or favorites. Open a profile to inspect it, edit it or duplicate it for another setup.

Continue in a calculator
Open the linked CNC or laser calculator, review the selected profile and choose Use this setting. Missing and job-specific inputs stay blank. Save current setup carries calculator values back to a new profile form.

Before you begin
Set up the inputs that make the workflow useful.
- Sign in and open Machine & bit settings in the dashboard.
- Keep your machine and tooling references nearby. New profiles start with blank parameters.
- Use a profile name that distinguishes the material and operation, such as ‘Birch plywood · pocketing · 1/4 in downcut’.
Understand the saved units
Length and feed units are explicit. The editor converts the standard numeric parameters when you change their units; 1 in becomes 25.4 mm and 1 mm/s becomes 60 mm/min. Custom fields keep their own text and unit labels, so update those manually when needed.
Separate a recorded feed from a chip-load target
A profile can keep actual feed, RPM and flute count as well as a manufacturer chip-load target. The nominal chip load calculated from your saved feed is displayed separately. The feed calculator can inspect that arithmetic; the advanced planner only receives an explicitly recorded target and leaves missing limits blank.
Keep a test attached to the right setup
A test record contains a date and your observed result. Changing a machine, tool, material or standard parameter in the editor clears the test fields so you can record a fresh check. Duplicates begin without a test record. Unit conversion preserves the physical values. A profile is a reference for your shop, not a machine approval or a command sent to equipment.
Save changes without overwriting another edit
Profiles are private to your account. If another tab updates a setting first, the app asks you to refresh and reopen the latest version. Repeated attempts to complete the same new save do not create duplicate profiles.
Export and maintain your library
Copy details or download a text record from one profile. Export all JSON keeps the complete library with units and notes; CSV supports spreadsheets. These exports include all profiles, even when a filter is active. The library holds up to 500 profiles. Delete unused records only after keeping any copy you need.

Are my settings public?
Profiles are private to the selected shop. Owners, managers and estimators can work with its saved profiles; assigned workers see only the setup snapshots attached to their work. The same shop records are available across devices.
Does loading a profile run my machine?
No. It fills compatible calculator inputs after you select Use this setting. It does not create or transmit machine commands.
Can I store settings that do not have a standard field?
Yes. Add up to 20 named custom fields with a value and optional unit. Other equipment profiles can also use any of the standard parameter fields.
Can I save directly from a calculator?
Yes. CNC Feed Rate, CNC Speeds & Feeds and Laser Power/Speed have Save current setup. This opens a new profile form with compatible values; add context and save it to your account. The short-lived transfer uses this browser tab’s session storage.
