How it works
Overlay doors: combined width = opening + 2 × overlay − gaps between doors. Inset doors: opening − 2 × perimeter gap − gaps between doors. Drawer width = opening − 2 × per-side slide clearance.
- Use the actual opening, hinge overlay and slide manufacturer clearances. Door dimensions are finished sizes; allow separately for joinery and trimming.
- Drawer height uses a separate total vertical clearance. Bottom recesses, slide length, mounting offsets and box depth still need a hardware-specific drawing.
