Read the test as a matrix—not a mystery.
Keep the material and setup constant. Change only one labeled power and speed step per square, then choose the result that fits the project goal.
Change one controlled variable at a time
A grid works because each cell is identifiable. Keep the material, focus, lens condition, and assist conditions stable while you vary only the settings you are testing.
Judge the result for the project goal
A darker engraving, cleaner edge, deeper mark, or faster run may each be useful in a different project. Choose based on the quality target—not the darkest or fastest square in isolation.
Save the winning context
Record the material, thickness, machine, lens or focus setup, speed, power, line interval, assist condition, and date. A saved result is the beginning of a material library.
